Dr Phil Harrell (B.A., M.Litt., MBA., DBA., Cmgr IML) is a sought after public speaker, educator and consultant. He has been presenting his unique and engaging style of leadership and management development training throughout Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and South East Asia for over twenty-five years.

As Executive Director and founder of the Leadership Alliance and New England Management Development (NEMD); Phil heads up a small team of organisational development professionals. Together, they design, develop and implement leadership training, organisational change initiatives, strategic planning and integrated action learning management development programs across multiple industries and sectors.

Dr Harrell also holds a part time position as Senior Lecturer at the University of New England (UNE), Business School and coordinates and teach several postgraduate units. These are: Leadership: Theory & Practice; Leading with Values and; Strategic Project Management.  In 2017 Dr Harrell was an invited Visiting Professor at the University of Tartu, Estonia. This involved conducting staff organisational development programmes, guest lecturing to international students in the Business School and advising on consulting opportunities for senior University staff.

Dr Harrell is an internationally acknowledged leader in the field of Values Based Leadership (VBL) and researches and consults extensively in this field. He is an accredited Master Coach in Leading, Managing and Coaching by Values through the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Dr Peter McNamara

Dr Peter McNamara (B.A., MEd., MBA., DBA., Cmgr IML) is an accomplished management professional adept at assessing clients’ needs and goals, and formulating recommendations in the fields of strategy, leadership, management, team effectiveness and change. He has recently completed a Doctorate on the time-management behaviours of small-business managers. Peter is an engaging speaker, trainer and presenter employing clarity, innovation and humour to deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences at all organisational levels.

His background is in wide variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, equipment hire, fast moving consumer goods, continuous improvement, technology and insurance. Peter has also worked closely with small businesses in improving their performance and productivity. He has had a long and successful partnership with Dr Phil Harrell in the delivery of tailored leadership and management programs.

Peter has been the Director of Qualitrain Pty Ltd since 1997. Qualitrain is a learning and development training organisation which has an established record in the delivery of highly professional leadership and management programs both in Australia and overseas. Peter also has a strong background in Continuous Improvement and Lean Production working as the principal facilitator and designer of the Leader Instructor’s workshop for the Australasian Centre for Total Productive Manufacturing.

Peter  (B.A (Hons), Ph.D) is a Senior Lecturer in the University of New England Business School. He teaches, consults, and researches in values based leadership development, organisational behaviour, and human resource management for Australian and international partners. He is currently collaborating with colleague Dr Kerrie Ikin, on a number of NSW school evaluation and leadership initiatives involving values as a catalyst for change. Peter and Kerrie are building an international reputation in empowerment evaluation and leadership and have presented invited papers at the Australian Council for Educational Research National Conference in Melbourne August 2017, the American Evaluation Association Washington DC in December 2017, and facilitated a workshop on School Empowerment Evaluation together with two NSW School Principals at the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement international conference in Singapore January 2018.

Peter’s reputation for delivering effective and engaging leadership development programs nationally and internationally has seen him work in a range of South East Asian countries (including Vietnam) and China and Europe over the past 10 years. Peter is a visiting Professor in the University Tartu Estonia Business School’s Executive MBA and is a visiting Professor ESADE Business School Barcelona Spain for the international accreditation program “Leading, Managing, and Coaching by Values”.

He is twice winner of the Woolworths Leadership Award for Most Outstanding Mentor – Australia for the international university student leadership program ENACTUS.

Peter is an internationally certified Master Coach for Leading, Managing, and Coaching by Values; is an accredited trainer for Crucial Conversations and is a qualified  DISC practitioner.
